I liked the way...you described the prior research to set up for this study and went into detail for the methods

One suggestion is... you spoke very quickly, so slowing down a bit might be good.

March 25, 2015 -

I liked the way... you presented the need for the study effectively. It was easy to follow your rationale for why this study contributes to the literature. I liked your analysis of the limitations for this study, too!

One suggestion is... maybe use less words on the introduction slide? It might be helpful to spend less time on describing the sample (though this may be tough in a case study), and talking about the implications and limitations.

March 25, 2015 -

I liked the way you verbally presented the information.

One suggestion is, spend a little less time on the introduction and give less text. It will free up more time. 🙂

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way you displayed your methods section.

nice timing!

I liked the way you displayed your methods section.

nice timing!

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way you explained your results and used the chart.

One suggestion is to try and spend a little more time on the implications of the study. You may have been able to present a little less on the limitations.

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way...your slides were laid out & clicked to advance within slide

One suggestion is... pacing was fine. I personally prefer presentations with more visuals than words. In particular, I like to read the bullets and have presenters say additional things (I realize this is very picky for a 5 minute presentation in class!)

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way...your pace was great--definitely not too fast. You also explained things really well. I feel that you highlighted the most important things, the things I really wanted to know about the study.

One suggestion is...I think more slides with less information on each slide would help us process the information easier.

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way... you provided a clear synthesis of the results and a few relevant implications for practice. You also had a clear critique of some of the issues with this article.

One suggestion is... perhaps provide more general summary statements during the introduction and methods to give you a bit more time to focus on the results and implications.

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way you spoke at a slow pace. I think you met this goal! Also, the methods were presented very clearly.

One suggestion is talk more about the implications for the classroom. How would teachers use this knowledge? What practices would align well?

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way...you wrote out the results/conclusion slide as well as your oral description of the results. You stated the conclusions succinctly, and I really liked your implications since they related to practice.

One suggestion is... you ran a bit over, which might have been in part due to the length of the introduction; while the background info was helpful, it ran a bit long. You were speaking a bit quickly at times, but overall your pacing was good (I also speak quickly, though, so I don't know if I can be objective about this)

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way... you explained the rationale for why this study was important. I think people can overlook differences between these students, so thanks for bringing this to the group!

One suggestion is... to use some more visuals, if possible. Also, maybe focus on the limitations and implications/suggestions for future research.

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way...you balanced your intro with results slides

One suggestion is... make fewer slides! You know what you're talking about and have enough material to take up 5 minutes 🙂

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way... you presented the limitations clearly, concisely and really insightfully! Bravo!

One suggestion is... maybe more visuals to make it a bit more accessible? The study wasn't really great for visuals though . . . so likely more a function of the study than you. Overall though, GREAT work!!

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way you gave explanations about the results. It was very easy for me to understand different results from different kinds of analyses. I especially like your explanations about the significant interactive effects. Also, I like you mentioned the limitation about the mismatch between the title and content of the study. Nice job!

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way...introduced the topic--it was very clear

One suggestion is...to present the results in a more visual way.

March 4, 2015 -

I liked the way... you were critical about the study

One suggestion is... feel free to elaborate more on limitations

February 11, 2015 -

I liked the way you critiqued the article and it's limitations. You're so clever!

One suggestion is to keep doing what you're doing with the visuals! Looks great.

February 11, 2015 -

I liked the way you were clever. 😉
I also liked your model! It was clear and concise. You handled your time wisely too.

Could you talk about the theoretical framework a little bit more?

January 21, 2015 -

I liked the way... you explicitly mentioned the research base and the research gap. This was good to hear! I also like how you explained what the predictor and controlled variables were for this study.

One suggestion is... to save more time to explain the actual study and focus less on the Introduction. To include more visuals instead of having a lot of words, though this can be difficult with such a comprehensive study.

January 21, 2015 -

I liked the way...you included a strong base of research pointing to the research question and design. You really seemed to know the study forwards and backwards and explained the design clearly.

One suggestion is... consider emphasizing fewer points so you can talk a little more slowly.

January 21, 2015 -

I liked the way you used the graph to frame your introduction.

One suggestion is to maybe try and have less words on your introduction slides.
