I liked the way...you very clearly defined terms, the broader context for the study, and then described the method--I could tell what the data looked like. Also fantastic job evaluating the strengths/weaknesses of their theoretical/conceptual framework.

One suggestion is...I might have missed this while I was typing, but I wanted to know more about how they analyzed the data, which would inform our evaluation of how strongly they supported their conclusions.

I liked the way you gave the reason for the why the case study was a limitation, instead of just staying it is. I also liked the way that you were critically thinking through and evaluating the article and how the author communicate what happens. Your next steps were very concrete, and overall the presentation felt very thoughtful and felt like it had been critically assessed. YAY!

One suggestion is to do whatever Kristy said! (you did a great job! nothing to add!)

Your presentation was fantastic -- really clear, appealing slides and engaging style. You did a great job of really critiquing the study, including the things they did well that showed promise for future studies without sacrificing time to assess real limitations.

Only suggestion would be what Kristy said 🙂 More discussion of methods would have been useful too.

I liked the way you presented your study clearly and concisely, getting out of the introduction quickly

One suggestion is make stronger connections to implications for *your* work. For example, I would think that the issue of how these researchers measured each students "identity" and "celebrated identities" would be important to your work.

I liked the way...
- Included visuals
- clearly focused on research that was relevant to your area of interest
- kept presentation highly accessible for someone unfamiliar with the topic

One suggestion is...
- add in a bit more details about methodology -- how long was student? how was sample of three students selected?

You really killed it on this presentation! I thought you did an excellent job of relaying a lot of information concisely without lacking detail.

In an ideal world (no idea how to accomplish this in 5min!), I would have enjoyed a little more information on their procedural methodologies (i.e., the research design and how students self-identified).

06/25/2018 -

I liked the way...you defined the key terms involved and introduced the need for the study in terms of the broader phenomenon (a key developmental stage, need to know factors involved in development during this stage). I also thought

One suggestion is... to determine which terms and which results are most important to highlight so you can allocate more time to describing those completely and in detail, then discussing their implications.

I liked the way...you are very good on timing...you pulled screenshot images directly from the article...

One suggestion is...speak louder. Yes, we are close near a table but there are other people in other tables speaking over you from across the room.

I liked the way that you introduced the topic and provided us with a clear path forward. The definitions were clear and helpful. The explanation of the logic model was helpful and clear to understand. Great article choice! I want to read it!

One suggestion is to condense a bit more so we can spend more time with some of the results.

I liked the way...your presentation timing was on point. Other presenters will appreciate that you seek on pace. I liked the visual design of the visual aid.

One suggestion is... shorten the amount of text on your slides.

*Pacing Comments - You spoke with an appropriate rate of speech. You spoke calmly and with ease.

06/22/2018 -

the way you broke up the time for each section was very well thought out and balanced. You did not seem rushed and helped me as the audience understand the logical flow of the topic.

One suggestion is... to incorporate how this information or article relates to your research area. How will this work impact your future work? How do the limitations of this study relate to what you would want to do.

06/22/2018 -

I liked the way... you managed time, clarified the meaning of STEM and PBL, and spoke very clearly without being rushed.

One suggestion is... focus on the study itself and what it says about the phenomena (in this case, PBL), rather than only the phenomena.
